STATUTE OF CAVALIER KING CHARLES SPANIEL SPECIALITY SHOW

Cavalier king Charles Spaniel Speciality Show is organized according to the  Show Regulations confirmed by the Estonian Kennel Union General Committee on 20.11.2004. The EKU Show Regulation is followed in all cases that are not regulated in this statute. The official name for the show is "FOUR SEASONS".

 

1. Colour certificates

 When more than 60 dogs are registered to the show in official classes, the organizer of the show has a right to arrange judging separately for different colours and give out up to 8 (eight) certificates (two per every colour) and up to 8 (eight) junior-certificates (two per every colour).

 

2. Competition Classes and order of judging

The order of judging by colour is always the following: Ruby, Black & Tan, Tricolour, Blenheim. At first, baby classes of all colours are judged, then  puppy classes.  After puppy classes, junior classes of all colours will be judged, then veteran classes. After veteran classes, the judging of the rest of the classes will continue separately for all colours, following the rules of the EKU Show Regulations. The participants in brace competition, breeder and progeny classes are not divided by colour.

 

3. Titles

3.1. Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex  titles are given out up to four both; these are awarded to winners of every colour combination separately.

3.2. Best of Breed Junior and Best Junior of Opposite sex  titles are given out up to four both; these are awarded to junior-winners of every colour combination separately.

3.3. Best of Breed Veteran  and Best Veteran of Opposite Sex  titles are given out up to four of both; these are awarded to veteran winners of every colour combination separately.

 

3.4. Best of Breed Puppy  and Best Puppy of Opposite sex  titles are given out up to four of both; these are awarded to uppy class winners of every  colour combinations separately.

3.5. Best of Breed Baby and Best Baby of Opposite Sex  titles are given out up to four of both; these are awarded to baby class winners of every colour combinations separately.

3.6. One title of Best of Breed Brace is awarded to the best brace in Brace Competition.

3.7. One title of Best Breeder is awarded to the winner of Breeder Class.

3.8. One title of Best Progeny Class  is awarded to the winner of Progeny Class.

 

4. BIS rings

4.1. Baby BIS ring takes place after the official judging of baby class; all participants that have received Best of Breed Baby and Best Baby of Opposite Sex prize have a right to compete (up to 8 dogs).

4.2. Puppy BIS ring will take place after the official judging of puppy classes, all winners of Best of Breed Puppy and Best Puppy of Opposite Sex prize have a right to participate (up to 8 dogs).

4.3. Promotion Prize of the Best of Colour Puppy competition will take place after baby and puppy class BIS rings; all participants that have received Best of Breed Puppy, Best Puppy of Opposite Sex, Best of Breed Baby or Best Baby of Opposite Sex  award, will participate.

4.4. Junior BIS ring will take place after the end of junior ring judging and all dogs that have received the title of Best of Breed Junior and Best Junior of Opposite Sex have a right to participate (up to 8 dogs)Winner of Junior BIS will receive an unofficial title CKCS Junior Club Winner.

4.5. Veteran BIS ring will take place after the end of veteran ring judging;   all dogs that have received the title of Best of Breed Veteran and Best Veteran of Opposite Sex can participate (up to 8 dogs). Winner of Veteran BIS will receive an unofficial title CKCS Veteran Club Winner.

4.6. Best in Show ring will take place after the end of judging of the official classes; all dogs who have received Best of Breed and Best of  Opposite Sex results, have a right to participate (up to 8 dogs). Best in Show winner will receive an unofficial title CKCS Club Winner.

4.7. Best Head and Best Mover competitions will take place after BIS rings and a special prize will be awarded for the Best Cavalier Born in Estonia .

4.8. Brace Competition BIS ring will take place after the judging of brace competition has ended and the placing done in class is also used in brace competition BIS ordering.

4.9. Breeder Class BIS ring will take place after the judging of the breeder classes has ended and the placing in class is also used in  breeder BIS ring ordering.

4.10. Progeny Class BIS ring will take place after the progeny class judging is done, and the placing in class is used in  progeny BIS ring ordering.

 

5. Promotion Prizes

In addition to official titles, the following prizes will be awarded:

Minor Charm – Best Ruby Puppy

Minor Joy – Best Black & Tan Puppy

Minor Felicity – Best Tricolour Puppy

Minor Desire – Best BlenheimPuppy

Autumn Charm – BOB Ruby

Summer Joy – BOB Black&Tan

Spring Felicity – BOB Tricolour

Winter Desire – BOB Blenheim

Best Head – the judge will choose participants

Best Mover – the judge will choose participants

Best Cavalier Born in Estonia – will be chosen based on show results.    In  case of equal result, the judge will decide the winner.
